Say hello to one of our most popular safari experiences! If your goal is to explore the three most spectacular national parks in northern Tanzania, this 8-day journey is an ideal pick. Your adventure begins in Tarangire National Park — the realm of elephants. Then you move on to the legendary Serengeti, renowned for its rich wildlife and the dramatic wildebeest migration. Finally, descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a natural marvel known for having the highest density of animals on the planet. On this unforgettable trip, you will get to witness two of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders.

With Tanzania Wildlife Voyages, this is a fully private safari — giving you the freedom to travel at your own rhythm. You will enjoy your own 4×4 safari vehicle and a dedicated professional guide throughout the tour.

When is the best time to visit Tanzania?

Many travelers often wonder about the best time to visit Tanzania. The truth is—there isn’t a single perfect answer. It really depends on what you want to experience, the regions you wish to explore, your budget, and personal preferences. Tanzania Wildlife Voyages has put together a detailed guide to help you decide the ideal time for your visit.

Dry Season (June to October & December to February):

These months are considered prime for both safaris and beach holidays. The weather is pleasant, and wildlife viewing is exceptional. However, do keep in mind that accommodation rates are higher, and popular parks and attractions can get crowded.

Mid Season (March & November):

If you prefer fewer crowds and moderate prices, this period is a great choice. The weather can be unpredictable, and certain sites may have limited access due to rains. Still, you can enjoy rewarding wildlife encounters and a more laid-back safari atmosphere.

Wet Season (April & May):

Best suited for budget travelers, this season comes with the lowest accommodation costs and the least crowded destinations. While heavy rains transform the landscapes into lush, green scenery, they may also cause disruptions to travel plans.

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park is famous for its large elephant herds and its vast landscape dotted with massive baobab trees. These ancient trees can survive for centuries and serve as a hidden water source for elephants during the dry months, as the animals use a unique method to extract moisture from them. In addition, during the dry season the Tarangire River becomes the park’s only reliable water supply. This draws an incredible concentration of wildlife, and it is not unusual to witness gatherings of up to 250 elephants along with many other species — one of the spectacular sights you can experience with Tanzania Wildlife Voyages.

Plus, countless other stunning wildlife species await, and your guide from Tanzania Wildlife Voyages will be thrilled to help you spot them all. Are you ready for the adventure?
