Kilimanjaro via Lemosho route - 7 Days Climbing (+ 2 days in a hotel)

The Lemosho route is known for having the highest summit success rate. It also provides breathtaking panoramic views of West Kilimanjaro’s stunning landscapes. During the second stage, the trail merges with the Machame route, taking you through remarkable scenery and iconic landmarks such as the renowned Barranco Wall.

With Tanzania Wildlife Voyages, you can trek the Lemosho route over seven or eight days. The main difference between these two options lies in the starting altitude: the 7-day climb begins at 3,500 meters, while the 8-day trek starts at 2,200 meters. The 8-day itinerary begins with a hike through the lush tropical rainforest, whereas the 7-day version skips this section — you’ll drive through the rainforest and only experience it again on your return journey.

If you prefer to complete the Lemosho route in six days, it aligns with the itinerary described for the Lemosho-Shira route.

The journey passes through lush tropical rainforest before reaching the drop-off point at 3,500 meters, where you’ll be treated to stunning views of the Shira Plateau.
